MUSIC OF THE NIGHT 2001

A musical extravaganza which took place on the front parade of the Royal Artillery Barracks, Woolwich, London SE18 between 16th - 21st July 2001. The programme of music satisfied a wide range of tastes and included excerpts from well-loved musicals such as Phantom of the Opera, Me and My Girl, Oliver and Les Miserables.

From the truly impressive acrobatic free-fall parachute display to the breathtaking motor cycle stunts in Grease and from the dramatic fireworks finale to the haunting melodies of the Pipes and Drums, MUSIC OF THE NIGHT 2001 audiences enjoyed an exciting and spectacular evening of entertainment.

MUSICAL NIGHTS AT THE ROYAL ARSENAL 2003

As Colonel Martin Cooper writes in the programme “MUSICAL NIGHTS has been a wonderful team effort drawing together volunteers from across the local community. The cast has been drawn completely from amateur performers and those who just want to ‘have a go’. The Production and Technical Teams have been largely drawn from members of the Bob Hope Theatre at Eltham and they have been critical to our success”.
